Ric Flair Reveals Why Drew McIntyre Lost To Roman Reigns At WWE Clash at the Castle 2022

WWE Clash at the Castle ended with displeasure and anger in the WWE Universe at Cardiff as Roman Reigns managed to escape the Castle, still the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion thanks to a timely and unexpected assist from the newest member of the Bloodline, Solo Sikoa preserving the Island of Relevancy.

The fallen Warrior Drew McIntyre watched in disappointment despite walking into the match as a massive fan favorite, with the audience in attendance firmly behind the Scottish Warrior.

In the weeks leading up to the event, it was heavily speculated that McIntyre would be The One to dethrone Roman and end his impressive two-year title reign of in front of his home audience of the United Kingdom.

However, the fans were fuming at the sight of their hero suffering a massive defeat at the hands of the Tribal Chief Roman Reigns, despite stepping into the enemy territory and facing one of the biggest threats to his reign of dominance.

‘”Well, it’s not that Drew didn’t deserve to win it but eventually if that’s the plan, which we all hope it is, and I’m sure the company hopes it is. If the plan is The Rock and Roman, I just think that the words, ‘Ladies and gentlemen, for the World Heavyweight Championship’ are very important for that match,” said Flair.

Since Roman’s triumph in Cardiff, fans have been keen to know what’s next for The Head of the Table. Many have speculated that WWE didn’t pull the trigger on Roman losing to preserve their future plans of having the heavily rumored The Rock vs Roman Reigns match in the main event of Wrestlemania 39 next year in Hollywood for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title, while others believe that the magnitude for this dream match could have easily drawn millions without a championship on the line.
