The 15th match of the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League is currently underway at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, where the Lucknow Super Giants are battling the Delhi Capitals for the first time ever. LSG captain KL Rahul won the toss and invited DC to bat first. Prithvi Shaw provided a solid start to the Capitals.
Opening the innings with the returning David Warner, Shaw destroyed the LSG bowling lineup in the powerplay overs and smashed a quickfire half-century. Shaw smashed nine fours and two sixes in his 34-ball 61.
Fans should note that Shaw and Warner had an opening partnership of 67 runs, where Shaw alone scored 61 runs. The right-handed batter has grown up playing cricket in Maharashtra, so this tournament is like a home competition for him.
Shaw reminded some fans about their childhood days because the non-striker rarely got strike when he was in the middle. He majorly dealt in boundaries and sometimes rotated strike on the last ball of the over.
Despite a blazing start from Shaw, the Delhi Capitals could only score 149 runs in their 20 overs. The likes of David Warner, Rishabh Pant and Sarfaraz Khan could not match the strike rate of Shaw as DC ended with a score of less than 150.
Ravi Bishnoi was the most impressive bowler from the Lucknow Super Giants squad. The right-arm leg-spinner bowled four overs, where he picked up two wickets and conceded only 22 runs. Meanwhile, Krishnappa Gowtham also bowled a good spell of 1/23 in his first match for LSG.

Like a typical Mumbaikar @PrithviShaw knows how to create room even when there isn't enough space to free arms. And that's exactly what he did this innings, creating room and smashing even fourth stump line through the off side π Top innings ππ» #LSGvDC #IPL2022
