The Border-Gavaskar Trophy kick-started on a dominating note for Indian Cricket Team. It’s fair to say that the Nagpur game was the testimony of how they have performed at home over the last decade. India thumped Australia by a massive margin of an inning and 132 and ended the game in just 3 days and take the lead of 1-0 in the series. The Rohit Sharma-led side outclassed Australia in all three departments as they batted and bowled staggering well and made the opposition look clueless. It’s fair to say that they ticked almost every box right and would be hoping to replicate the same performance in the second game as well.
Predicting the Indian Playing 11 for the second Test against Australia
The second game of the Test series between India and Australia will be played from 17th February to 21st February in Delhi. Talking about playing 11, it is likely that India will continue the same combination but there might be a few changes.
Skipper Rohit Sharma a brainer will open the innings for the team. He scored a staggering ton in the last game and bailed his side out of trouble. KL Rahul yet again failed to set the stage on fire as he scored just 20 runs in the first game but it is expected that team will give him another game.
Cheteshwar Pujara and Virat Kohli were out cheaply in the first game but no chance stands to drop them for the team. They are expected to play a crucial role for the team in the next game. Shreyas Iyer is likely to replace Suryakumar Yadav in the team for the second game. Iyer missed the game due to an injury in the first game and is expected to be fit for the Delhi Test.
