The Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023 has taken a twist. After two enthralling wins in the first two games, India suffered a disappointing loss in the third Test in Indore. They were outplayed by the visitors, who won the third game by 9 wickets to make the series 2-1. Be it with the bat or with the ball, Australia was better than India and marked their first win in the series. With this win, they also qualified for the World Test Championship Final.
Predicting the Indian Playing 11 for the fourth Test against Australia
The focus now shifts towards the final game of the series that will be played in Ahmedabad from 9th March. It’ll be an extremely crucial game for India considering their chances for the WTC Final. Talking about the playing 11 there’s no doubt that skipper Rohit Sharma will be right there at the top alongside Shubman Gill, who replaced KL Rahul in the second game.
Both the openers would be looking to score big and give their team a perfect start. Cheteshwar Pujara was amongst the best batters for India in the third Test and would be looking to continue his fine form at 3. Whereas Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer got starts in the third game but failed. They would be looking to convert their starts and score big.
Rohit Sharma said "Batters need to find a way in challenging conditions, consistent runs might not come but as whole were getting the result, that is what matters".

Ishan Kishan might get a debut Test cap in the fourth Test. KS Bharat hasn’t done well and therefore the team can look to replace him with Kishan. The all-rounders Ravindra Jadeja, R Ashwin and Axar Patel have been exceptional in the series and are expected to retain their places.
Umesh Yadav is expected to play the fourth game as well. He did a staggering job in the third game and it is also likely that Mohammad Shami will be back for the 4th game in place of Mohammed Siraj.
