Predicting RCB’s strongest playing XI for IPL 2025

RCB have built a decent squad but it is not the strongest one. There are certain players who can actually win games single-handedly. On that note, here, we predict RCB’s strongest playing XI for IPL 2025.

Openers: Virat Kohli (C) and Phil Salt (WK)

Virat Kohli is likely to captain the side because there are not many other choices. Phil Salt will be key to this line-up to provide a strong start. This will be one of the best opening combinations in the league.

Middle-Order: Rajat Patidar and Jitesh Sharma

Rajat Patidar and Jitesh Sharma will be the core middle-order batters in RCB’s strongest playing XI for IPL 2025. Indian batting core is important for every team. RCB has a decent department in this regard. Jitesh Sharma will also be the backup keeper.

All-Rounders: Liam Livingstone, Tim David and Krunal Pandya

Andy Flower likes his all-rounders and hence he will build his core around this department. Krunal Pandya will lead the spin attack and can be used as a floater, as well. Livingstone will come in at No.5 & Tim David at No.6.

Bowlers: Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Yash Dayal, Josh Hazlewood and Rasikh Salam Dar

RCB has not had the best bowling attacks in recent years but this time around, they have a decent set of bowlers. It will come down to how these players will perform. Yash Dayal will be key as he will have to bowl in the other phases of the game, as well. Josh Hazlewood will lead the team’s bowling attack.

Impact Player: Devdutt Padikkal or Suyash Sharma

Devdutt Padikkal or Suyash Sharma are likely to be the impact players in RCB‘s strongest playing XI for IPL 2025. Depending on whether RCB is batting or bowling first, they have a decent bench. Padikkal could be prioritized because he is a left-handed batter.
