Predicting India’s strongest playing for the ODI series against Sri Lanka

It’s a no brainer that Indian skipper Rohit Sharma will open the innings for his team in the ODI series against Sri Lanka. However, with Shikhar Dhawan being dropped from the team, it’ll be the opportunity for either Shubman Gill or Ishan Kishan to stake their claim. Considering his performance against Bangladesh, Kishan is likely to get a nod ahead as he’s likely to keep the wickets as well.

Virat Kohli no doubt will bat at No.3 in the ODI series against Sri Lanka with Shreyas Iyer set to bat at No.4. The youngster has been India’s best batter in the 50-over format of late and it’s fair to say that he has locked the position.
