Taruwar Kohli opened the innings alongside wicketkeeper Shreevats Goswami. The duo scored 1 and 6 runs respectively and stitched 1 run for the opening partnership. Tanmay Srivastava was the No.3 batter in that lineup and played a handy knock of 46 runs in the final against South Africa.
Skipper Virat Kohli batted at No.4 and couldn’t make an impact in the summit clash as he scored just 19 runs. He was awarded Man of the Tournament for his heroics. Saurabh Tiwary was slated at No.5 and he played a good hand of 20 runs.
