Rey Mysterio has been one of the most most towering underdogs and the Lucha legend has squeezed his heart and soul for the ring. Recently included into the WWE Hall of Fame, Rey Mysterio has been still delivering gilt-edged fights in the ring for years now. However, a new question has been doing the rounds which state that what would happen if Rey sees his daughter Aalyah compete in the ring.
In 2019, there was a major plot line where Dominik Mysterio was being hurt by Brock Lesnar and Rey challenged the Beast Incarnate. Unfortunately, he didn’t manage to secure an upset this time as Brock shredded him to pieces.
The following year saw Rey’s daughter, Aalyah make her debut for WWE even though she wasn’t a part of the fight. Rey opened up on the MMA hour on the fact where he answered the question on whether Aalyah would ever compete inside the ring.
Here is what Rey Mysterio had to say about Aalyah
Rey said, “It’s scary if she does ’cause she might like it. She’s never stepped foot in the ring… For some reason or another, it hasn’t happened and I think that’s just a sign from God saying don’t get her in there because she’s gonna like it.”
The diminutive superstar also mentioned that at the moment it is Dominik Mysterio who is getting trained by Rey while Aalyah is still following her mum’s footsteps. There is still a lot of time for Aalyah to walk the footsteps of Rey Mysterio.
In 2020, Dominik Mysterio and Aalyah actually sided with Rey Mysterio to combat the likes of Buddy Murphy. This was the fight that also cost Buddy Murphy his eye (kayfabe) a move that sent the WWE Universe on its toes.
Dominik Mysterio has made a massive breakout now as one of the most hated heels but he has somewhat been nailing the character and whenever he has got beaten the entire WWE Universe loves it.
