Shubman Gill and KL Rahul
Another combination that India might try is that they can promote KL Rahul up the order and make him open alongside Shubman Gill. While Gill almost has sealed the opening spot, Rahul could well make his case strong at the top once again. The batter has been batting in the middle order for India in ODIs and also has been keeping as well. In the absence of Rohit, the team might look to push someone experienced at the top.
