BAN vs SCO: The Al Amerat Cricket Ground will host the second fixture of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 Qualifiers between Bangladesh and Scotland. The match is scheduled to be played at 7:30 PM as per IST.
Bangladesh is walking into their opening game of the World T20 Qualifiers after playing a warm-up match on 14 October against Ireland in Abu Dhabi. Winning the toss and electing to bat first was the best possible decision by the Irish captain. Riding on the back of Gareth Delany’s unbeaten 88, Ireland posted a massive total of 177. In reply, great cameos from Nurul Hasan and Soumya Sarkar were overshadowed by a magnificent three-wicket haul by Mark Adair. Craig Young and Joshua Little too bagged two wickets each, as Ireland won the warmup game by 33 runs.
Meanwhile, Scotland too played a warm-up game, which was held against Namibia. The match turned out to be a high scoring delight at the ICC Academy Ground. Bowling first didn’t seem to fit right with Namibia as a power-packed 67 off 41 by George Munsey
Match: Bangladesh vs Scotland
Date & Time: 17th October 2021, 7:30 PM IST
Venue: The Al Amerat Cricket Ground
The venue has a sublime pitch. The turf at Al Amerat Cricket Ground will keep both batsmen as well as bowlers interested. The batters can score runs if they take their time and concentrate on the necessities, while the spinners will also get some purchase on this track. All in all, it’s an equally opportunistic wicket for both the batsmen and bowlers.
It is expected to be sunny and mildly humid throughout the course of the game.
