3 pacers whom Delhi Capitals could target as the replacement for Harry Brook

Jake Fraser-McGurk was announced as the replacement for Lungi Ngidi by Delhi Capitals. Anrich Nortje is injury-prone while Jhye Richardson is not fit at the moment. Hence, surely, DC will go for a pacer as the replacement for Harry Brook, who has pulled out of IPL 2024. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three pacers whom Delhi Capitals could target as the replacement for Harry Brook.

1) Matt Henry

Matt Henry is an improved bowler in the T20 format. He is also in decent form right now. Therefore, he should be one of the first names that DC must have a look at.

He is someone who can bowl in all the phases of the game. Matt has the ability to hit the deck hard and this can be useful with the two bouncers per over rule. Therefore, he would be the ideal candidate to come to Delhi.

2) Kwena Maphaka

Kwena Maphaka is one of the pacers whom Delhi Capitals could target as the replacement for Harry Brook. Barring Khaleel Ahmed, DC does not have a reliable left-arm pacer. Hence, they could target someone like Kwena Maphaka, who had a splendid outing in the recent U19 World Cup.

Called as the next Rabada, he has all the attributes to take over the game in the future. If he remains uncapped for a few more months, DC could also get an option to retain him at a low price before IPL 2025 Mega Auctions.

3) Josh Hazlewood

As per reports, Josh Hazlewood is not available for the first few weeks of IPL 2024. Hence, if DC can somehow manage in this phase, Josh can be a solid option for them in the future.

DC needs someone who can bowl in all the phases of the game. Josh is certainly that kind of a cricketer. Hence, he is on this list.
