Tri-series have become a rarity in world cricket right now. However, there is one happening right before the 2022 T20 World Cup. From October 7th, New Zealand will host Pakistan and Bangladesh for a T20I Tri-Series. All these matches will happen at the Hagley Oval in Christchurch. On that note, here, we look at the pitch report of Hagley Oval and the weather conditions in Christchurch for NZ, PAK and BAN T20I Tri-Series 2022.
Pakistan and Bangladesh have both played their cricket in different conditions in recent months. Therefore, before the 2022 T20 WC, it will be useful for them to play in New Zealand. On the other hand, the Kiwis will be looking for a strong challenge to test the squad ahead of the mega-event. They will want the likes of Kane Williamson to fire in this series.

Till now, a total of 2 T20I encounters have happened at this venue. The hosts New Zealand have won one game and they lost the other in Hagley Oval. As a sample size, there is not too much data for the teams to derive a pattern.
The average score batting first is 169, which is actually a good score. Teams will target to at least reach the par score. Devon Conway did well with an unbeaten 99 in 2021 against Australia. While this is the best batting performance, Ish Sodhi‘s 4/28 in the same series is the best bowling display till now.

As usual, temperatures in New Zealand will be just around 10 degrees Celsius. Pakistan and Bangladesh will obviously take some time to get used to the conditions.
In the next week at Christchurch, the weather is likely to be partly cloudy. However, no rains are expected with most days likely to be mostly sunny.
