Suryakumar Yadav has been in stunning form this season. Against New Zealand in the 2nd T20I, he scored 111 runs in 51 deliveries and helped India win the game. The No.1 batter in the T20 format right now, SKY is fully justifying his position on the chart. After the game, Tim Southee spoke about SKY’s knock and had some comments to make. Here, we take a look as New Zealand pacer Tim Southee makes an interesting comment about Suryakumar Yadav.
Tim Southee makes an interesting remark about Suryakumar Yadav
For the 3rd T20I, Kane Williamson is unavailable and hence, Tim Southee will captain the squad. The veteran pacer took a hat trick against India in the second T20I. Hence, it was also a memorable game for him.
When asked if SKY is the best Indian batter he has bowled to, Southee replied, “There have been a number of great T20 players from India, so many great cricketers. Surya has been having a great 12 months and it is for him to continue to do what he has been doing.”
The right-arm pacer added, “India has produced so many amazing cricketers not only in the T20 format but also across the three formats. You have got so many players who have played for a long period of time and have achieved so much over a long period of time.”

SKY could also get his Test debut soon
With SKY doing well in T20s, his place in the ODI XI is also confirmed. However, there are also calls for him to be included in Tests, as well.
In recent months, we have seen aggressive intent by batters also working in Tests. In this regard, Suryakumar Yadav has been in good touch. India’s Test middle order is anyways in transition. Hence, it won’t be a surprise if SKY debuts in Test cricket soon.
