“Noo, why?”, “That CM Punk contract gotta be 7 figures”- WWE Fans in disbelief as female star confirms release

It was a memorable weekend for the WWE fans as CM Punk and Randy Orton made their returns to the company at Survivor Series on Saturday. However, shortly after the return of CM Punk, a female WWE star has confirmed her release from the company.

It is not a new thing to see wrestlers or backstage interviewers leaving WWE, but this is a time when almost every WWE fan is happy. Hence, the news of backstage interview girl McKenzie Mitchell leaving the company has disappointed the fans a lot.

McKenzie Mitchell worked as a backstage interviewer on NXT episodes. She also appeared as a special host for the WWE’s ‘The Bump’ podcast on YouTube. Confirming her release from WWE, Mitchell wrote on X:

“Today I was released by WWE. I met my husband, moved cross country from CT to FL for @wwenxt (a place I’ve always considered home), and met friends that became like family. I’ve always said and firmly believe in “when door closes, another opens.”

Is CM Punk the reason behind WWE releasing McKenzie Mitchell?

WWE fans on X have been thinking about the potential reasons behind the release of Mitchell, who had been doing an impressive job Wednesday nights on NXT. Some fans thought that CM Punk must have received a seven-figure contract from the company and to balance the funds, the company has decided to release Mitchell.

“Man that CM Punk contract gotta be 7 figures,” a fan tweet reacting to the release of Mitchell.
