Controversial WWE personality and former head writer Vince Russo has given his 2 cents on the most talked about feud developing in WWE on the road to WrestleMania 39. He analyzed the exchange of words between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns’ Wiseman Paul Heyman this week on RAW. He also gave his pick for the winner between Reigns vs Rhodes big ticket match at WrestleMania 39.
This week’s RAW saw the beginning of the rivalry between the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Reigns and his challenger Rhodes. It happened as Heyman and Rhodes had an intense interaction. It started as a respectful and emotional talk between the two but then turned personal. Heyman provoked Cody by telling him that Roman was the son that his father Dusty always wanted. In the end Cody finished the segment by telling Heyman that the feud was now personal.
Russo liked everything about this segment. He said that it all felt extremely real. When Heyman started to turn heel and getting personal, Cody’s facial expressions felt genuine. Russo pointed out that WWE’s booking on RAW has confirmed a title change at WrestleMania.
During Sportskeeda’s Legion of RAW show, he said, “Bro, if Heyman is saying to Cody Rhodes that your father told me that Roman Reigns is the son he always wanted, 100% Cody Rhodes is going over at WrestleMania.”

Russo, who is a former WWE writer, pointed out that the promo on RAW will lead to Rhodes winning at WrestleMania 39. He feels that by making the feud personal, it has become obvious that Rhodes will dethrone Roman at Mania.

Also he pointed out that Cody may have inadvertently given away the outcome of Roman’s match at Elimination Chamber. Rhodes said that He will see Roman at WrestleMania. Which means Roman is winning in his title bout against Samy Zayn at the Chamber. The background for this match is in the works for over 9 months, therefore it shouldn’t have been this obvious.
Russo stated, “When Cody Rhodes said, ‘You just made it personal, I’ll see you at WrestleMania,’ we went right over a story that they’ve been building up for long.”
