WWE Rumors: Major Backstage Update On New Gimmick For Bray Wyatt After Potential Return

The New Face of Fear, The Eater of Worlds, The Fiend.  Many names for one man. The man who is supposedly coming back to WWE soon – Bray Wyatt. With WWE’s Head of creative, Triple H, bringing back last year’s released superstars like Karrion Kross, Hit Row, Dakota Kai, IYO SKY, Dexter Lumis and Johnny Gargano, rumors are rife about Bray Wyatt making a return as well.

The former WWE Universal champion was unexpectedly released from contract last year in July during WWE’s mass culling, which came as a major surprise because he had competed against Randy Orton in WrestleMania 37 in a well hyped match.

Rumors have been making the rounds in wrestling circles about Wyatt’s potential return and now it’s being reported that he is absolutely making a comeback and in not just one but in a total of three gimmicks. Very similar to what Mick Foley had going – Mankind, Dude Love and Cactus Jack.

Apparently, this idea has been pitched by Bray himself. He has always been a creative individual and one of the rarest of superstars who has always had a strong say in his gimmick. This creative control was given to him by none other than Vince McMahon himself while he was still chairman of the board, even working with his own team of writers to churn out the best possible character and angles, no matter how bizarre.

That’s why his release came as such a shock to the WWE Universe because he was in the good books of the chairman with so much creative control and hype surrounding him. Maybe there was a falling out with the higher ups.

When will Bray Wyatt come back in WWE?

Whatever the deal maybe, now that Wyatt is returning (it’s evident from his cryptic tweets on his return), he has pitched to play all of his three characters by himself, as it should be.

It will be interesting to see when he makes his WWE return. A majority of the fans think that Wyatt may return at WWE Clash at the Castle on September 3.
