Will The Young Bucks Leave AEW And Join WWE?

WWE has completely been redefined and revamped ever since former WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon decided to take voluntary retirement and hand over the reins of his well-established Wrestling Giant to his own daughter Stephanie McMahon and former WWE President Nick Khan assuming the roles of Co-CEOs. His son-in-law and recently promoted Chief Content Office Triple H has taken over direct control as the new Head of Creative, overseeing storylines, talent management and live shows.

The Game has given a new creative direction to the company in a short span of time with a huge improvement in TV product, backstage morale, viewership numbers, and bringing back top talent released by Vince McMahon back to the WWE like Karrion Kross, Braun Strowman, Dexter Lumis and Johnny Gargano.

Triple H’s new creative approach to expanding the WWE even further has attracted the attention of two massive AEW stars that have been on the WWE radar for a long time, Nick and Matt Jackson collectively known as The Young Bucks. The dynamic duo has been among the founding members of WWE’s rival competitor, All Elite Wrestling (AEW), and serves as EVPs and onscreen performers.

However, due to a recent real-life backstage altercation with CM Punk making the headlines and giving a huge blow to the company’s image, there is a huge possibility that the Young Bucks could jump ship to WWE once their AEW deals expire in some years.

When will AEW contracts of the Young Bucks expire?

It was revealed by Ryan Frederick of Wrestling Observer that Nick and Matt have sent out feelers to their rival promotion and are looking to follow in Cody Rhodes’ footsteps of joining WWE once their AEW contracts are up. The report also gave clarification that Young Bucks have not signed a new deal with AEW:
“They didn’t sign new deals. Their options were picked up. They did reach out to a talent to send feelers that they would be interested in talking about coming in when their deals are up.”
The Young Bucks coming to the WWE would be a major loss for AEW and a strong addition to Triple’H growing regime looking to move towards a new and progressive future.
