“Very Very Impressed”- Harsha Bhogle Picks Standout Young Performers Of IPL 2022

Famous Indian commentator Harsha Bhogle recently posted a tweet to heap praise on the young performers who have impressed him in the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League so far. IPL 2022 got underway on March 26, and the tournament has entered its final phases now. Only a few league matches and playoffs remain in the season.

As always, quite a few young players have impressed so far in the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League. Harsha Bhogle named two fast bowlers who have impressed him so far in IPL 2022. Firstly, he named Rajasthan Royals’ right-arm fast bowler Kuldeep Sen and the second name was the left-arm fast bowler from Lucknow Super Giants – Mohsin Khan.

Here’s what Harsha wrote in his tweet:

“Very very impressed with Mohsin Khan. Him and Kuldeep Sen have been the stand-out young pacers this #TataIPL.”

While most of fans agreed with Harsha Bhogle, some were surprised to see that he did not take the names of Arshdeep Singh and Umran Malik who have been impressive for the Punjab Kings and the Sunrisers Hyderabad this season. Singh has been a fantastic death bowler for the Kings, while Malik has taken a five-wicket haul for the Sunrisers.

Harsha Bhogle reveals why he named only Kuldeep Sen and Mohsin Khan in his tweet

One of the fans replied to Harsha Bhogle and asked him why he left out the likes of Arshdeep Singh and Umran Malik while naming the young fast bowlers who have impressed him this season. Here is the explanation that he gave:

“Arshdeep is excellent but he has been around and was retained. So we knew what he could do. Umran Malik was retained too and, yes, this has been a breakthrough year. But these two have been eye-openers.”

With a few more matches remaining in IPL 2022, it should not be a surprise if one or two more names are added to that list.
