Taruwar Kohli opened the innings alongside wicketkeeper Shreevats Goswami. The duo scored 1 and 6 runs respectively and stitched 1 run for the opening partnership. Tanmay Srivastava was the No.3 batter in that lineup and played a handy knock of 46 runs in the final against South Africa.

Skipper Virat Kohli batted at No.4 and couldn’t make an impact in the summit clash as he scored just 19 runs. He was awarded Man of the Tournament for his heroics. Saurabh Tiwary was slated at No.5 and he played a good hand of 20 runs.

Karnataka batter Manish Pandey batted lower down the order at No.6 and he contributed 20 runs. All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was slotted at No.7. He scored 11 runs and picked 2 wickets in his 5 overs.

Iqbal Abdulla, who batted at No.8, was run out for 9 runs but he contributed with the ball and picked a wicket. Pradeep Sangwan’s 13 runs, in the end, powered India to a total of 159. While Siddharth Kaul and Ajitesh Argal picked two wickets each and helped their side restrict the opposition to 103/8.
