Pakistan surprised many when they reached the semifinals of the 2021 T20 World Cup. That said, the team has been inconsistent since then. A few players are also out of form. Amidst this, they would want to yet again prove the doubters wrong. The 2022 T20 World Cup will start on October 16th in Australia. Here, we take a look at the Pakistan Schedule for ICC T20 World Cup 2022.

Pakistan Schedule for ICC T20 World Cup 2022

As has been the norm, there will be an India vs Pakistan fixture to start the proceedings for both teams. After this match, Pakistan will face the entrants from the Qualifier Stage. They would then move to the games against South Africa and Bangladesh, which will likely decide their fate in the tournament. Much of Pakistan’s prospects depend upon the team’s performance against India. If they win that match, they would be very confident of entering the semi-finals.

  • Pakistan vs B1 – October 27th (Perth)
  • Pakistan vs A2 – October 30th (Perth)

The bowlers must take the bulk of the duties

The batting department of Pakistan is going through a rough phase. Mohammad Rizwan has been scoring runs but they have not been coming at a good rate. Babar Azam also has the same issues and the skipper’s recent form has also not been great. The middle order is also not stepping up to the occasion consistently. Therefore, it should be the bowlers who must take the driver’s seat for Pakistan.

Led by Shaheen Afridi, the bowling department has some fine performers in Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf. The spin department involving Shadab Khan and Mohammad Nawaz is also brilliant. This group must deliver each game for Pakistan to have a fine tournament.
