Ravi Kumar ensures India’s fourth medal in the Tokyo Olympics: Ravi Kumar Dahiya was just a minute away from losing his semi-final bout against Kazakhstan’s Sanayev in the Men’s 57 kg freestyle wrestling when he produced one of the greatest comebacks in Olympic’s wrestling history.

With less than a minute remaining, Ravi was 9-2 down and the clock was ticking down for him, but it was his determination that made him made a comeback after he pinned his opponent down to win the semi-final, thus assuring his country the 4th medal in the Olympics. With this feat, Ravi Kumar becomes the second Indian wrestler to book a spot in the final of the Olympics.

Two more Indian wrestlers are in contention for a medal on Thursday as Anshu Malik has a chance to win a bronze along with Deepak Punia, who is just one win away from the podium.

After putting up a fantastic fight against Argentina, who are ranked 3rd worldwide, the women in blue suffered a 2-1 loss. Gurjit Kaur scored the lone goal for her nation while Argentine captain, Maria Noel Barrionueve found the back of the net twice. India went into this game with tons of confidence after beating Australia in the quarter-finals. Team India will now face Great Britain for the bronze medal match.

Lovlina loses but goes out with her head held high and a shining bronze medal

Lovlina Borgohain signed off with a bronze medal as she suffered a crushing 5-0 defeat against the reigning world champion Busenaz Surmeneli of Turkey. Borgohain becomes only the third Indian boxer to win a medal in the Olympic Games after Vijender Singh and Mary Kom.
