Commonwealth games are like Olympic games for us: Lovely Choubey

Lovely Choubey, who was in a conversation with Press Trust of India (PTI) after securing the Commonwealth games medal, insisted that the Commonwealth games are like Olympic games for India’s lawn bowls players because this sport is not a part of the Olympics and they never get the opportunity to feature at a global stage. Commonwealth games is the biggest stage where they can showcase their skills and they are ecstatic to have secured a medal.

Lovely is the oldest and the most experienced player of the Indian squad and has already represented India in two Commonwealth games before. The Indian squad includes three other members, one from Jharkhand itself, while the other two from Delhi and Assam respectively.
