“Many Sporting Giants Have Gone Through This”- Rohit Sharma Reacts As MI Lose 8 Consecutive Matches In IPL 2022

Five-time champions Mumbai Indians have set an unwanted record in the ongoing Indian Premier League season. The Mumbai-based franchise have lost their first eight matches of the competition, which has all but ended their hopes of finishing in the Top 4 of the points table. MI skipper Rohit Sharma posted a long tweet earlier today to reflect on his team’s downfall.

The IPL began in the year 2008, and in the last 15 years, there had not been a single instance of a team having zero wins and 8 losses after their first eight games of the new season. However, Mumbai Indians have achieved the dubious feat this year.

MI started their season with a close defeat against the Delhi Capitals. After that match, they suffered losses against Kolkata Knight Riders, Chennai Super Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals.
