Cameron Green likely to be available for the full IPL 2023 – Reports
Australian all-rounder Cameron Green suffered an injury in the Boxing Day Test against Australia when a nasty bouncer from Anrich Nortje hit him on the finger. However, he showed great courage and batted with that injured finger for 177 balls and took his team to a comfortable position.
Green after his innings went for scans, which revealed that the all-rounder had a minor fracture. He was deemed unfit to play the upcoming third Test against South Africa in Sydney. With him suffering an injury, there are a lot of speculations about his availability for the Test series against India and IPL 2023.
Although, there’s no official confirmation but the all-rounder is optimistic about getting fit before the India tour. In the latest development as per the reports in TOI, it is learned that Green will be fit by the IPL 2023 but won’t be able to bowl till the 13th April.
Green was acquired by Mumbai Indians for INR 17.5 crores. He’s expected to play a big role for the side in the upcoming IPL. With Kieron Pollard announcing retirement, the onus will be on him to carry his legacy forward.
