A tournament to remember for the fans

T20 is a dynamic format but till now, at the T20 World Cup, it was the dominant cricketing nations that used to call the shots. However, the 2022 T20 World Cup was an eye-opener for many with regard to the performance of a few associate nations. There were a lot of upsets and one of the biggest included two-time winners West Indies not qualifying for the Super 12 stage.

The tournament also included a lot of close encounters, starting with the India vs Pakistan game on October 23rd. That game gave the necessary boost to the tournament. Some of the famous results such as Zimbabwe defeating Pakistan and the Netherlands defeating South Africa also added depth to the tournament. Overall, for the fans and the stakeholders, it was an excellent competition hosted in Australia.
