While everyone on social media is now going gaga over the batting of Suryakumar Yadav in the IPL, the Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma had predicted the emergence of the youngster long time back in 2011 itself.
Rohit, after taking part in BCCI award function in 2011, had put out a tweet saying that a guy named Suryakumar Yadav from Mumbai was the one to watch out for and now that old tweet of Rohit is going viral.
Just got done with BCCI awards here in chennai..some exciting cricketers coming up..Suryakumar yadav from Mumbai to watch out for in future!

After being overlooked for Australia tour, Suryakumar proved a point to the Indian selectors as he played a match winning knock against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at Abu Dhabi to take his team Mumbai Indians one step closer to the knockouts.
With the kind of net run rate Mumbai has, they should now be able to make it to the playoffs unless they suffer big defeats in their two remaining games and the results of the other teams go against them as well.
Suryakumar seemed very determined as he walked out to bat last night after the fall of Quinton de Kock’s wicket. The match was hanging in the balance as the RCB bowlers had not given away too many runs in the powerplay and the required run rate was starting to go up.
But, Suryakumar didn’t get bogged down. He didn’t slog, but he made sure he continued finding the boundaries with conventional cricketing shots. As he progressed in his innings, he just kept gaining more and more confidence and eventually unleashed his 360 degree shots all around the wicket.
Despite Mumbai losing wickets at the other end at regular intervals, Suryakumar got the job done for Mumbai in the last over with a boundary over extra cover. The no. 3 batsman of Mumbai Indians was named the man of the match as well which was his second man of the match award this IPL.
