The former Indian batsman Vinod Kambli has made a shocking revelation that he is going through a financial crisis at the moment and he has no work at all to earn from. Kambli, who burst onto the scene and played international cricket for India in the 90s, has said that he is only surviving on the pension given to him by the BCCI.
Any cricketer, who has ever represented India in test match cricket in the past, receives a pension of 30,000 INR per month from BCCI, and Vinod Kambli is also a beneficiary of that scheme. According to Kambli, if not for that pension, he would have struggled to fulfill his daily needs.
Kambli was talking to the mid-day recently where he opened up on his current life situation and said that he has conveyed to Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) that if they want him to serve them in any capacity, he will be willing to take up the role, but there is no role there at the moment for him.

Vinod Kambli revealed that his childhood friend Sachin Tendulkar knows about his financial condition
Vinod Kambli said that his childhood friend Sachin Tendulkar, who is arguably the greatest cricketer the country has ever produced, is also aware of the situation he is in right now, but Sachin has helped him in the past and he can’t expect too much from the master blaster all the time.
Talking about the Mumbai Ranji team, which has now renewed the contract of Amol Mazumdar as head coach for another season, Kambli said that he is very passionate about Mumbai and he thinks he owes them a lot because it’s because of Mumbai cricket that he got international recognition in his life. If they ever need his services at any point, he would be available for them because he wants to give something back to them.
