He achieved the massive feat in the ongoing fourth Test against Australia in Ahmedabad. The right-hander completed 17000 runs in international cricket and it’s fair to say that this has been the testimony of his hard grind as a batter over the years.
Rohit batted sensationally well on the first innings of the fourth game as he looked classy to the eyes and smashed runs with ease. He scored 35 runs in 58 balls before he gifted his wicket. The skipper stitched a 74-run partnership with Shubman Gill and gave his team a staggering start.
Rohit became the 7th Indian to complete 17000 runs in international cricket after Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Rahul Dravid, Sourav Ganguly, MS Dhoni and Virender Sehwag.
