Former two-time WWE Champion Drew McIntyre recently posted a tweet which showed how much progress the Scottish Warrior has made in the world of pro wrestling. McIntyre signed with WWE in the previous decade, and he was touted as the Chosen One, but he could not make it big during his first stint with the Stamford wrestling promotion.
McIntyre became a part of the 3MB faction with former WWE Superstar Heath Slater and Jinder Mahal. However, that faction was majorly featured in the undercard matches of the company. Since the company did not have big plans for them, the higher-ups decided to release McIntyre from the company.
He was released on June 12, 2014. And two days ago, on June 12, 2022, McIntyre was main-eventing a WWE show. He came back to the company a few years ago and has realized his full potential. The Scottish Superstar won the WWE Royal Rumble match in 2020 and then dethroned Brock Lesnar as the WWE Champion in the main event of WrestleMania 36.
Here’s what McIntyre posted on Twitter recently:

Bill Apter thinks Drew McIntyre should win the Men’s Money in the Bank contract in 2022
In a recent interaction with Sportskeeda Wrestling, Hall of Fame journalist Bill Apter opined that McIntyre should win the prestigious Money in the Bank briefcase at the premium live event titled Money in the Bank on July 2.
McIntyre faced off against former WWE Champion Sheamus in a qualifying match last week on SmackDown, but the match ended in a draw. It is likely that both Superstars may have another match. Here’s what Bill had to say:
“Even though he’s still involved with a bitter rivalry against Sheamus, I think Drew will get the briefcase.”
