“He Can Become An Outstanding Leader”- Ambati Rayudu Backs Ravindra Jadeja To Captain India One Day

Chennai Super Kings batter Ambati Rayudu was an important member of the Indian cricket team a few years ago. Many fans thought that Rayudu would play for the country in the 2019 edition of the 50-over Cricket World Cup. However, the selectors favored Vijay Shankar over him. Despite being ignored for international cricket, Rayudu has done well consistently for CSK in the IPL.

Thanks to his magnificent performances for the Chennai Super Kings, the Chennai-based franchise bought him back at the IPL Mega Auction 2022. When Rayudu returned to CSK, he would have thought that he would play another seas under MS Dhoni. But there was a twist in the tale.

Just two days before IPL 2022, CSK’s star MS Dhoni announced that he is stepping down as the captain of the team, with Ravindra Jadeja replacing him as the skipper. Jadeja took some time to settle as a leader.

He never led any IPL franchise in the past. Playing as the captain of the Chennai Super Kings team, Jadeja lost his first four matches. However, he is improving gradually, and the team has won two of their last three matches.

Ravindra Jadeja has it in him to lead not only CSK but also India one day: Ambati Rayudu

Speaking on CSK’s YouTube channel, Rayudu gave his honest opinion on Jadeja’s captaincy and said:

“Replacing MS Dhoni is never easy. However, Jaddu definitely has it in him, and under the guidance of Mahi bhai, he can become an outstanding leader. He has it in him to lead not only CSK but also India one day.”

It will be interesting to see whether Ravindra Jadeja receives a chance to captain the Indian cricket team one day. His captaincy future depends upon how he performs as a leader for the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL matches.
