The England middle-order batsman Harry Brook, who played a match-winning knock for England in the first T20 international against Pakistan yesterday, made a hilarious revelation about the security arrangements in Pakistan while talking to Sky Sports after the game.
Harry Brook, who has also played for Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in the past, revealed that the security arrangements on England’s current tour of Pakistan are such that even when he has to go to the washroom, there is someone following him to the washroom.
This is after a gap of 17 years that the England cricket team is touring Pakistan. Before England, Australia toured Pakistan earlier this year and played three series across formats. England’s tour to Pakistan will, however, be limited to only two formats, but the T20I series which got underway yesterday will be a long one and will be a 7-match series.
England’s captain Jos Buttler was not available for the first T20I yesterday and in the absence of him and the other England stalwarts like Eoin Morgan who has recently retired and Ben Stokes who is rested for the tour, players like Harry Brook and Phil Salt got their opportunities.

When Brook walked in to bat yesterday, the game was hanging in the balance. The required run rate was not that high, but it was a tricky deck to bat on and the pressure could have mounted if the new batsman had played a few dot balls.

But, with a brisk knock of 40-odd, Brook made sure that Pakistan had no chance of making a comeback in the game at any stage. Brook was the one who finished the game in the last over, as he lofted Shahnawaz Dahani over extra cover off a low full-toss to win the game for England.
