He scored unbeaten 125 runs with the help of 16 fours, 6 of which came in the last 7 balls of the match, and 2 sixes. Pant also stitched 133 runs partnership with Pandya, who scored 71 runs as India completed a comfortable 5-wicket win.

Pant’s staggering knock against England has been rated as the second-best ODI knock of the year by Wisden. Also, they have rated Ishan Kishan’s & 210(131) against South Africa as third best ODI knock in 2022.
