“Babar Azam will score more centuries than Virat Kohli by the end of his career,” Shoaib Akhtar’s bold statement

Kohli has 75 tons whereas Babar has 28 so far in International cricket.

Former Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Akhtar has made a bold statement. He lavished rich praise on current skipper Babar Azam and said that by the end of his career, the right-hander will have more centuries than Virat Kohli.

Indian batter Virat Kohli and Pakistan skipper Babar Azam are two or the finest players to have graced the game of cricket. The duo have broke numerous records and are going neck to neck. It’s fair to say that they are the leading batsman in all three formats of the game for their respective nations.

Since Babar Azam came into the scene, Kohli vs Babar debate has attracted the attention of many netizens. Many call the former Indian skippers the best in the game while some say the Pakistani captain is way better than Kohli.

It’s fair to say that Kohli has achieved also it everything in the game and currently has 25322 runs in 497 international games with 75 centuries and 130 half-century scores to his name. He’s also the sixth-highest scorer in world cricket and the second-highest among Indians after Sachin Tendulkar (34357 runs).

Babar Azam on the other hand relatively is very young as compared to Kohli and it’s fair to say the comparison between them is not justified as the Pakistan skipper still needs to achieve a lot to be compared with the Indian star. Babar has 11,864 runs to his name so far from 235 games.

With both Babar and Kohli going great guns, Shoaib Akhtar made a bold statement. He said that “Babar Azam will score more centuries than Virat Kohli by the end of his career.”

Notably, Kohli has 75 international tons whereas Babar has 28 centuries so far. He’s still 47 centuries away from the Indian batter. It remains to be seen if he will be able to achieve the feat or not.
