Jos Buttler has been in the form of his life in IPL 2022. The right-handed batter has mercilessly destroyed the opposition bowling attacks with his classic shots and big-hitting. Buttler first smacked centuries against the Mumbai Indians and the Kolkata Knight Riders.
Earlier tonight, he continued his purple patch and added one more hundred to his account. Playing against the Delhi Capitals at the Wankhede Stadium, Buttler opened the innings with Devdutt Padikkal and destroyed the DC bowling attack with his fantastic shots.
At the end of the 18th over, Buttler is playing at 103 runs off 60 balls, with eight fours and eight sixes in his account.
Talking about the match between the Delhi Capitals and the Rajasthan Royals, DC skipper Rishabh Pant won the toss and decided to bowl first. Here’s what Pant had to say at the toss:
“We are going to bowl first. I think these conditions might be helpful to bowl first on this wicket. I have said to the boys to not focus on the outside noise and as a player you can focus on yourself. Mostly we are going to be talking about the same thing.”
Fans on Twitter react as Jos Buttler scores his 3rd century of IPL 2022
Buttler has been in magnificent form in this year’s Indian Premier League season. Some members of the cricket universe feel that the record of Virat Kohli for four centuries in one IPL season is in danger right now because Buttler will play many more games in IPL 2022.
Also, Buttler has a chance of breaking Virat Kohli’s record for the highest number of runs in one season. Kohli was in similar touch during the 2016 season of the IPL. Here’s how the fans on Twitter reacted to the phenomenal batting performance from the Rajasthan Royals star in their match against the Delhi Capitals.
