Watch: Nitish Rana celebrates his 50 in a unique way

Kolkata Knight Riders’ star all-rounder Nitish Rana opened the innings for his team in today’s match against the Sunrisers Hyderabad. He scored a fantastic 56-ball 80 to help the Kolkata Knight Riders get off to an excellent start.

Nitish Rana had played some brilliant knocks in the previous edition of the IPL as well. However, he was a bit inconsistent. It seemed like Rana could complete his maiden IPL ton tonight versus the Sunrisers Hyderabad in Chennai. Unfortunately, Mohammad Nabi dismissed him when he was on 80.

The southpaw hit a shot to fielder Vijay Shankar, which brought an end to his innings, where he had hit nine fours and four sixes. One moment during this innings which caught everyone’s eye was how Nitish Rana celebrated his half-century. In the last IPL season, he had celebrated in a unique way to pay tribute to his late father-in-law.

In today’s match, he preferred to celebrate with his engagement ring.

In case you did not know, Nitish Rana is married to Saachi Marwah. The couple got married in February 2019, and Saachi even reposted this incident on her story. Saachi is along with Rana in Chennai. She even uploaded a photo from the MA Chidambaram Stadium, where she is watching the match live.

The Kolkata Knight Riders have ended with 187/6 on the board, courtesy of Dinesh Karthik’s 9-ball 22 cameo in the end. The Sunrisers Hyderabad do not have Kane Williamson today and the Kolkata Knight Riders have gone in without Sunil Narine.

It will be interesting to see which team comes out on top in the third match of IPL 2021.
