LSG scores the second highest Score in the history of IPL

Mohali has always been known to be a good pitch for the batters. However, the most suitable conditions for the batters came up on Friday’s game. It did not take long for LSG to get going in their innings. In the powerplay, it was all about Kyle Mayers, who delivered a total of 11 boundaries. He got out for 54 runs in just 24 balls.

Then, it was the turn of youngster Ayush Badoni to show his skills. He made 43 runs from 24 balls. With this knock, he has somewhat made the No.3 spot his own for the next few games at least. Then, it was the likes of Marcus Stoinis and Nicholas Pooran who turned the game for LSG. In fact, with their stay, RCB’s record of 263 was in danger. While Stoinis made 72 runs in 40 balls, Pooran scored 45 runs in just 19 deliveries. In the last two overs, Arshdeep Singh and Sam Curran were good and hence, LSG could not set the record total. Nevertheless, it was a top effort and will be remembered for long.
