“Need RCB vs Sydney match”, Twitter reacts as Sydney Thunder gets all out for 15 runs in BBL against Adelaide Strikers

It was a rare day at the ongoing Big Bash League in Australia. Sydney Thunder lost all their wickets for 15 runs, thereby beating the record for the lowest total in the tournament’s history. On that note, here, we take a look at how Twitter reacted as Sydney Thunder gets all out for 15 runs in BBL against Adelaide Strikers.

Sydney Thunder gets all out for 15 runs

Sydney Thunder actually had a good start to the game. The team, led by Jason Sangha, restricted Adelaide Strikers to 139 runs in 20 overs. The likes of Chris Lynn were kept quiet while players such as Daniel Sams had a good outing. It felt as though the Sydney team would win the match as they had some big names such as Alex Hales and Rilee Rossouw in the XI.

However, it was a forgettable batting performance by the Thunders. They got all out for just 15 runs, which broke many records in the history of the game. No player was able to reach the double digits while five players were duck out. Henry Thornton finished with five wickets and it was a stunning show by the pacer. He collected all five scalps in 17 balls and in the process, he gave away only 3 runs. Wes Agar also took four wickets in two overs and was in top form. Matthew Short also contributed with a wicket. Overall, it took just 35 deliveries for Adelaide Strikers to dismiss Sydney Thunder. The previous lowest score in the competition was 57 by Melbourne Renegades in 2015.
