England thrashes India by 10 wickets to join Pakistan for the final at MCG
England Cricket Team thrashed India by 10 wickets to enter the final of the tournament. They will join now Pakistan and will lock horns with them in the summit clash at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on 13th November.
Putting India to bat first, Chris Woakes drew the first blood as he removed KL Rahul for just 5 runs. After that they never let India be on the top as they kept taking wickets at regular intervals to put them under the pressure. Virat Kohli (50) and Hardik Pandya (63) played a good hand and powered India to 168 runs.
Chasing the target, English openers Jos Buttler (80*) and Alex Hales (84*) came out all guns blazing and made a mockery of the Indian bowling attack. They smashed unbeaten 170 runs for the first wicket and claimed the win with 10 wickets in hand. None of the Indian bowlers looked settled as they bowled poorly and allowed England to put pressure on them.

– Shit opening partnership, over-reliance on middle and lower orders
– Rohit's struggles to turn difficult situations around
– Dropping DK, sticking with Rahul
– Rigidity in selection of bowlers (Harshal for Shami, Chahal for Ashwin here)AdvertisementAll backfired together.

England were without Jofra Archer, Jonny Bairstow, Reece Topley in this T20 World Cup. Mark Wood and Dawid Malan didn't play the Semis, but they qualified for The Final.
