Bangladesh and India are currently playing each other in the dead rubber third ODI at Chattogram. Coming to the match, the hosts had a lot of injury concerns as skipper Rohit Sharma and Deepak Chahar were not available for the series.

With Rohit not being there, many expected India to give a debut cap to Rahul Tripathi and allow him to play and test their bench strength. However, this wasn’t the case as India went with the same combination of playing one batter short to adjust the 6th bowling option.

He had a sensational Vijay Hazare Trophy 2022 as he scored 524 runs in just 8 innings and has been performing consistently in the domestic circuit as well as the IPL.
