The WWE SummerSlam 2022 match card has underwent enormous changes. Last night, WWE dropped a bombshell when they announced that the match between Riddle and Seth Freakin’ Rollins has been postponed. As per rumors, the match will happen at the Clash at the Castle premium live event in the UK now.

Fans would have loved the battle between Rollins and Riddle, but it seems like the match will not happen at the Biggest Party of this Summer. While that match will be missed at the biggest party of the summer, fans will also miss the following three matches on the SummerSlam card.

1. Fans would have loved to see Theory vs John Cena on WWE SummerSlam 2022 match card

As per rumors, John Cena was supposed to have a match against Mr. Money in the Bank Theory at this year’s SummerSlam. However, the match was never announced officially. The Leader of Cenation came back for just one night on RAW, where he celebrated his 20th anniversary in WWE. However, there was no buildup for the match against Theory.

It looks like the match between Cena and Theory will take place at WrestleMania next year in Hollywood.

2. Fans would have loved to see Edge vs Finn Balor on WWE SummerSlam 2022 match card

Another match which was widely expected to happen at the Biggest Party of the Summer was Edge vs Finn Balor. The buildup began last month when Finn joined The Judgement Day and kicked Edge out. However, it looks like fans will have to wait a bit longer for that match.

3. Roman Reigns vs Randy Orton

Roman Reigns vs Randy Orton was the initial plan for the main event of SummerSlam. Unfortunately, Orton got injured and was ruled out of SummerSlam. As a result, Brock Lesnar had to be called up as a replacement.
