“Missing Him More Than Anything Else”- Amit Mishra Names 1 Player CSK Is Missing The Most In IPL 2022

The 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League is currently underway, and tonight, the fans are witnessing a match between the Chennai Super Kings and the Punjab Kings. As has been the case in their previous matches, CSK’s fielders have dropped catches even in the match against PBKS. Former Delhi Capitals spinner Amit Mishra feels that the Chennai Super Kings are missing their former captain Suresh Raina.

There was a time when the Chennai Super Kings had fielders like Faf du Plessis, Suresh Raina and Brendon McCullum who would rarely drop catches. They were famous for even converting half-chances into catches and helping the Chennai-based franchise take important wickets.

However, the fielding of the Chennai Super Kings team has not been the same in the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League. Commenting his views on CSK’s fielding this year, former DC spinner Amit Mishra wrote on Twitter:

“Chennai Super Kings is missing @imraina in fielding, more than anything else at the moment. Quick fire throws, direct hits and forever safe catching hands.”

Suresh Raina and Amit Mishra went unsold for the first time in IPL Auctions

Suresh Raina and Amit Mishra are two Indian players who achieved a lot of success in the Indian Premier League. While Raina was among the leading run-getters in the tournament, Mishra was among the highest wicket-takers. However, both veteran players went unsold at the IPL 2022 Mega Auction which happened earlier this year.

Last year, Raina was with the Chennai Super Kings, while Mishra turned up for the Delhi Capitals. Both experienced players were released by their respective franchises and subsequently went unsold at the mega auction. Neither of them have returned to the league as replacements. While Raina has joined the Star Sports Hindi commentary panel, Mishra gives his views in a different way on Twitter these days.
