Major Update On Damian Priest After Injury Scare During WWE Clash at the Castle 2024

Damian Priest might have succeeded in walking out of the enemy territory with his World Heavyweight Championship but might have suffered a major fall during the bout. Priest addressed the injury scare from his match against Drew McIntyre at WWE Clash at the Castle.

During the main event showdown between Priest and McIntyre, the champion performed a high-risk middle rope springboard move to the ringside area. At that spot, Damian’s ankle got caught in the ropes, nearly resulting in a disaster. Despite this mishap, Priest managed to complete the match in a victorious fashion, although he was visibly limping afterwards.

What did Damian Priest say after WWE Clash at the Castle 2024?

In the post-show press conference, Damian Priest revealed that he had not yet been examined by the medical experts but believed he was alright.

“It feels like trash right now. I didn’t even go to medical yet so I could do this and talk to you guys and answer your questions, so you’re all welcome. Docs will check it out, but I ain’t going anywhere. I was able to beat Drew McIntyre on one foot so I’m pretty sure I’m all good to go.”

Dave Meltzer, on the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio, provided further insight, noting that the injury isn’t as severe as initially feared.

“I actually heard from them, and the preliminary news wasn’t bad, they’re actually saying it’s like a miracle. It wasn’t as bad as they feared, but nothing is conclusive.”

As Damian Priest addresses the injury scare following his Clash at the Castle match, WWE fans can breathe a sigh of relief amid initial concerns. Moreover, as mentioned, Priest emerged victorious at the OVO Hydro in Scotland, defeating the home country hero, Drew McIntyre to retain his World Title, with a little assistance from Drew’s rival, CM Punk.
