Liv Morgan Creates Unique Record At WWE Money in the Bank 2023

Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez regained their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships at WWE Money in the Bank 2023. They defeated the duo of Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler to regain the titles that they never lost.

During the match, Morgan pinned Rousey for the third time in her career. This is a new record for any female Superstar. No other female Superstar has pinned Ronda Rousey thrice in the WWE ring.

Incidentally, Liv Morgan pinned Ronda Rousey at the Money in the Bank premium live event last year as well. Morgan became the new SmackDown women’s champion by pinning Ronda. Soon after, she successfully defended her title against Ronda at SummerSlam with a pinfall victory.

Now, at Money in the Bank 2023 in London, Liv Morgan pinned Ronda Rousey for the third time. It seems highly unlikely that any female Superstar will break Liv’s record in the near future.

Why did Shayna Baszler betray Ronda Rousey at WWE Money in the Bank 2023?

The reason why Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez became the tag team champions in the women’s division was because of Shayna Baszler’s betrayal. Midway during the match, Shayna turned on her partner Ronda Rousey and even put her in a submission hold before leaving the ring and returning backstage.

According to reports, WWE had planned Ronda Rousey vs Shayna Baszler at WrestleMania 40, but it seems like the match may happen at SummerSlam 2023 itself. There has been speculation that Shayna might be Ronda’s last opponent in the WWE ring.

It seems like Ronda’s matches will end soon, and hence, WWE may have decided to book her rivalry with Shayna Baszler in the SummerSlam season. The match between Ronda and Shayna should be a physical battle, with the latter likely to beat the former SmackDown Women’s Champion and end her career.
