World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc., or WWE as we fondly know them as, is the pinnacle of professional wrestling in the world with a market capitalization of more than 5 billion dollars. A globally spread media and entertainment company, it is spread to many countries and has branches across the globe. It has even diversified to various subdivisions as well.
WWE currently has three brands under its wings. The two main brands which are referred to as the main roster are RAW and SmackDown. Whereas NXT (launched in 2012) serves as the promotion’s developmental brand for rookies to be debuted on the main roster in the future.

RAW is broadcasted on Monday nights and SmackDown on Friday nights. Both having their own dedicated roster of wrestlers who perform mostly on their respective brands unless there’s a special situation due to a storyline or a crossover pay per view event. Also a superstar has to perform on both brands if he/she is the Undisputed champion of a division, which means a single champion for both brands. Officials who are in the management position are also part of both brands.
During the WWE Draft that happens every year, each roster sees a shuffle of superstars among the three brands with the trading happening mostly on the main roster but some coming in from NXT as well.
The current main roster champions (male) are Roman Reigns (Undisputed WWE Universal Champion), The Usos (Undisputed Tag Team Champions), Bobby Lashley (United States Champion) and Gunther (Intercontinental Champion)
The Main roster is what drives the ratings of WWE and makes it a global phenomenon that leads to multi million dollar TV deals and packed events in major sports arenas.
