List Of Former Indian Cricketers Who Have Tested Positive For COVID-19 After Road Safety Series

Things have gone horribly wrong for the Indian cricketers who have returned from an exultant outing at the Road Safety Series after four of them have tested positive for the COVID-19.

In an ill-conducted tournament that saw no restraints on crowd movements and free-flow of the onlookers, there has been a mammoth hue and cry after Irfan Pathan took to Twitter to apprise of himself testing positive for the alien virus.

The tournament was conducted in Raipur and had no approval from BCCI. It was of a private stature and thereby rules and regulations seemed haywire. What apparently was supposed to be entertainment from the legends is now turning into a hellish nightmare after the Indian cricketers have started falling victims to this virus.

The first Indian cricketer to test positive after returning from the Road Safety Series was Subramaniam Badrinath. He was followed by the iconic Sachin Tendulkar and then the Pathan brothers fell victim to the virus too.

However, if there is one thing that has been acting like a glimmer of hope for the cricketers who tested positive is the fact that none of them has shown symptoms and is yet to suffer from any kind of weaknesses that this virus tends to bring along with itself.

After testing positive for the virus, Pathan took to Twitter and posted, “I have tested positive for COVID-19 with no symptoms and have isolated myself and quarantined at home. I would request those who came in contact with me in the recent past to please get themselves tested.”

India emerged as the champions of the Road Safety World Series as they thrashed Sri Lanka in the finals. It was a delight to watch the legends of the sport perform at their very best, rekindling our childhood memories. Unfortunately, it seems that the virus wasn’t too pleased to see a social gathering of quite a titanic stature happening and what follows now can be catastrophic especially ahead of IPL.
