There is a saying that “batsmen win you games, bowlers win you tournaments”. This theory has got backing from IPL, where bowlers have also played a huge role in the success of the team. In IPL, the bowlers who pick most wickets in the tournament take home the purple cap. In this article, we will look at the list of bowlers, who have won the purple cap in the biggest cricket league.

1. 2008 Purple Cap- Sohail Tanvir (22 wickets)
