Team A: KL Rahul, Mayank Agarwal, Shubman Gill (C), Tilak Varma, Shivam Dube, Riyan Parag, Dhruv Jurel (WK), Tanush Kotian, Kuldeep Yadav, Prasidh Krishna and Akash Deep.

Likely playing XI of Team B: N Jagadeesan, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Abhimanyu Easwaran (C), Sarfaraz Khan, Rishabh Pant (WK), Ravindra Jadeja, Nitish Reddy, Washington Sundar, R Sai Kishore, Mohammed Siraj and Mukesh Kumar.

Team C: Ruturaj Gaikwad (C), Sai Sudharsan, Rajat Patidar, Baba Indrajith, Suryakumar Yadav, Abishek Porel (WK), Hrithik Shokeen, Manav Suthar, Vyshak V, Sandeep Warrier and Umran Malik.

Team D: Yash Dubey, Devdutt Padikkal, Ricky Bhui, Shreyash Iyer (C), Ishan Kishan, KS Bharat (WK), Axar Patel, Harshit Rana, Saurabh Kumar, Tushar Deshpande and Arshdeep Singh.

An important tournament for some established cricketers

Usually, the Duleep Trophy is very important for the rising youngsters. In the past, too, we have seen some youngsters have a breakthrough campaign after doing well in the Duleep Trophy.

In this edition, some of the senior cricketers will be under the scanner. Under the new management, there is a push to be a part of the domestic events. Hence, the likes of KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan will have to prove themselves here. With a Test season coming up, some players will look to make their India debut. The likes of Harshit Rana and R Sai Kishore fall in this bracket. Few such as Washington Sundar will want to force a comeback. On the other hand, the likes of Rajat Patidar will be looking for one more chance.
