The IPL game between Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans is seeing the clash of brothers Hardik Pandya and Krunal Pandya for the first time in the tournament. Incidentally, Krunal Pandya took his younger brother’s wicket in the game on Monday. Krunal Pandya takes Hardik Pandya’s wicket
Although Lucknow started in a disappointing manner with the bat, the likes of Deepak Hooda, Ayush Badoni and Krunal Pandya did well to give the team a decent score of 158-6. Gujarat Titans, too, did not start well with the bat. They lost the wickets of Shubman Gill and Vijay Shankar quickly. Hence, Hardik Pandya had to come early to the crease.
The player started well, scoring a few boundaries at the start. Although he had to face a few dot balls, he made up his strike rate with a few big hits. His presence was necessary for GT but Hardik lost his wicket to Krunal, who was bowling really well. Krunal flighted the ball, Hardik could not control his instincts and it was an easy catch for Manish Pandey. While Hardik scored 33 (28), Krunal finished his four overs, giving away just 17 runs and collecting the all-important wicket of his brother.

One of the subplots of this IPL was the clash between Hardik and Krunal. The players have never been in a different IPL franchise before and hence, it was interesting to see how they would react to playing against each other. While there was not much content in this regard in the first innings, in the second, there was a lot of it.
