KAR vs MUM: The two cricketing giants of Indian domestic cricket, Karnataka & Mumbai, will lock horns for their opening game of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy of Elite Group B.
Karnataka had a wonderful run last season of the upcoming competition. They were a part of Elite Group A where they competed against five teams and from that they ended up winning four games and secured 16 points. They would be hoping to continue their same form from last season and get there into the top and claim the title. With the bat, young sensation Devdutt Padikkal & Rohan Kadam are to watch out for with the bat while Shreyas Gopal & Jagadeesha Suchith with the ball.
Meanwhile, Mumbai were a part of Elite Group E last year and had a rather disappointing campaign to showcase. Out of the five group matches they played, they won a standalone game and lost the remaining four making it a campaign to forget for them. Despite being one of the strongest teams, they were outperformed by others. They’d be hoping to change it this season. Mumbai have won their most recent match against Karnataka but lost three on a trot before that. Although, they’re a strong team and have the upper hand in the upcoming encounter.
