The much talked about latest season of the VIVO Pro Kabaddi League will be kickstarting soon. The apex kabaddi franchise contest is all set to be underway with a mega auction on August 5 and 6. But before that, one term is trending in the kabaddi circles and that is what is NYP in Pro Kabaddi.

Among the various assortments of the players in the PKL Auction, there is a separate category of players that stars the likes of athletes from the age of 18-22 years. This category belongs to players who have never featured in PKL previously.

The New Young Players (NYP) are athletes who hails from Mashal Sportsโ€™ flagship program called the Future Kabaddi Heroes (FKH). Itโ€™s a podium that sees coaches from different nations running a worldwide search for young talents. The platform was created with the intention of finding the best young talents in the world and hand them over a platform to showcase their extraordinary kabaddi finesse in the glittering Pro Kabaddi League.

The NYP features uncapped players who have showcased their flair at the domestic and the junior levels. The teams participating in the auction are allowed to retain only six players from the New Young Players ahead of the auction.
